There’s nothing like a sunset engagement session; and this one had the best of two types of locations and clearly two of the most beautiful humans. Chappel and Drew started out a little south of the city to capture this new engagement season for them in the early evening light. Having the open space of the fields and tall grass really allowed them and their sweet chemistry together to shine without much background distraction.
Once we got all the “traditional” engagement style photos done we headed off to downtown Atlanta with a whole new wardrobe to continue the session. I cried tears of joy seeing their outfit choices for the location change. Such a fun idea to add variety into your photos and by changing their outfits we were able to mix up the whole vibe of the evening for sunset.
When Chappel sent over her vision board for the session I knew adding in some 35mm film would complete the vibe and just gave us some fun options for the final gallery. I am loving all the new film styles that are becoming popular with engagement and wedding photography. It feels so much more real and candid than some of the older posed styles, so we definitely made it a point to embrace that mood for the session.
I loved walking around the city with these two. They made the evening so fun with their easy going and down-for-anything personalities. I am over the moon to capture their wedding day later this year.
